Another Mixed Media

I am having too much fun with these. The bird is from a Stampin' Up! chipboard set that I had to have and then never did anything with it. I painted it with acrylic paints. The sun was done with glass bead gel with yellow acrylic painted added to it.

Mixed Media Canvas

Mixed media canvas. Background is colored with gelatos (Faber Castell). I had this flower from an auction at stamp club and it was sitting on my desk asking to be used. So this was the result.

Black Cow Day

June 10 was Black Cow Day!
In August 1893, the great-grand-nephew of Frank J. Wisner, was the owner of the Cripple Creek Cow Mountain Gold Mining Company. He was trying to invent a special drink for the children of Cripple Creek. While, looking at his properties on Cow Mountain one moonlit night, the full moon;s glow on the snow capped mountain reminded of vanilla ice cream floating on the top of the blackened Cow Mountain. He then went back to his bar and put a big scoop of vanilla ice cream on the favorite soda water of the children. The flavor of the soda wate was root beer. It was instantly a big hit!

Now for my card:

For my patterned paper I used the cloud paper, popping up 3 of the clouds. The road is Washi tape that I found at the Denami booth at a recent stamp show. I colored the cars with the flourescent copics and cut them out, adding glitter to the bumpers, tires, and door handle. The green car is popped up.

You should have gotten here from Pattie's wonderful blog. Your next stop along the hop is Kanani's blog. Thanks for stopping by.

If you get lost or want to start from the beginning, you can go to the Denanmi blog.
