Yes, February is finally over! And yes, they are calling for more snow this weekend! I am so done with the snow! The Friday Alcohol Marker challenge over at The Outlawz was "Anything Goes" with and optional Christmas Twist. So, I did this cute little snowmouse.

For the color challenge this week at The Outlawz we were provided with five colors and needed to choose 3 to work with. The inspiration for the colors came from a picture of the Beatles, so all the colors had names of Beatles incorporated into them. I chose to use John Yellow, Ringo Pink, and Mystery Green. The twist was to make it "Musical". The piano is from Sparkle-n-Sprinkle.

The alcohol ink challenge for The Outlawz this past Friday was "Things with Wings." I chose to do a CAS card using a sixxix embossing folder and adding just one butterfly. The butterfly was cut out twice with the second one being popped up. I drew on his antennas and used a pearl pen for the ends of the antennas.

Todays color challenge at The Outlawz was to use Deep Owl Grey, Pale Owl Grey, and Palest Grassland. The bird was sitting on my desk and easy to add just cool grey and a pale yellow green copic to for color. I then layered it on top of greys and the green cardbase.

This weekend I had the opportunity to a Mix Media Weekend at the Cozy Crop House. Kate taught this project using using soda cans and alcohol ink. We colored the back of the cans with alcohol ink, cut them out (I used "Tattered Flowers" by Tim Holtz), and ran them through embossing folders. I then made layers of flowers using thick pop-dots.
We started out Friday night making an ATC. The background was done using Tim Holtz Distress Paints. Some stamping and punchinella was added. The butterfly is from a napkin.
This is the book that we altered to make sleeves to add tags to with techniques. It was taught by Teresa. We covered the book with gesso and then painted it with Tim Holtz Distress Paints. Added lots of layers with stamps stencils, and punchinella. The bird was made using grunge board. We added distress crackle on top of it.
Another project taught by Teresa was this canvas. We tore a lot of DP to use for the background. We then added music, dictionary paper, pattern paper, and tissue paper. The girl, birds and words were then added. Finally, we added rub-ons
The final project was a white on white canvas. This was taught to us by Tami. We started by using a stencil and molding paste. After letting that dry overnight, we painted everything with gesso and then started layering and gluing things down. This would make a great wedding gift if done on a larger canvas and you could leave a space for a wedding picture.
The final thing we did was play with a gelli plate. That was a lot of fun and very messy.
Now I have tons of unique background papers to use on my cards. Check out my friend Kerri's blog to see her projects.

This is the third card I did for this PTI challenge.
I die cut the whales out in three of the colors. I used an embossing folder for the background.
This is the second card I did for the sketches and colors challenge at Paper Trey Ink.
I used copic markers to color the flowers in my interpretation of the colors. The colors I used were based on the colors that PTI sells sets for that match each color of their paper.
The first day of challenges for Paper Trey Inks Seventh Anniversary Celebration provided readers with color combinations and sketches. You can combine any of the colors and sketches. This is the first card I did for this challenge.
All stamps and papers are PTI. The embossed image was done with a Cuttlebug folder.
The theme for the CAS challenge at The Outlawz this week was "Love is in the Air". You needed to create a card where your images were "In the Air". I used these balloons from PTI. I colored them with copics and added a touch of glitter. The smallest one is popped up.

The challenge for Paper Trey Ink today was to make a birthday card to help them celebrate their seventh birthday. I used the "Wishes Come True" set for the candles and the "happy". The birthday was cut out using a PTI die. I used various colors of ink to stamp the candles and added some glitter to each. Yes, they are intentionally not straight on the paper!

Today's challenge for the Paper Trey Ink Seventh Anniversary celebration was to make a 3x4 card. I made my card using the 'Reasons to Smile' set. I used versamark ink to stamp the images and added liquid pearls in the center of the flowers. The butterfly is a brad that was in my stash.

Today's challenge for the PTI anniversary was to select 7 elements I seven minutes. You then had 17 minutes to make your card. My 7 items were: stamp set (PTI), versacolor ink, card stock, Spellbinders labels 9, ribbon, glossy accents, and a sticker. The two smaller flowers were popped up.
The color challenge at The Outlawz this week was to use Candy Pink, Funky Purple, and Cool Turquoise. The Twist was to make it a Valentine. I used Spellbinders nested hearts to cut out the pink hearts. I then attached them to the Turquoise paper and embossed the paper using a folder that has a lot of hearts in it. The purple heart is done with the Spellbinders die and embossed. It is on a wobble.

This is the second card I did for today's Paper Trey Ink challenge. The PTI papers I used were Pure Poppy and Hawaiian Shore. I used a cuttlebug embossing folder for my background and ran a piece of gold ribbon behind the sentiment.
This month Paper Trey Ink celebrates its Seventh Anniversary. In honor of that they are having several challenges. For todays challenge you were provided with a sheet of "printables". You need to use at least one PTI product on your project. The stamp I used is a PTI stampe and my cardbase is melon berry from PTI.
