House Mouse and Friends Challenge. "Having a Sleigh Ride" (1999). Colored with copics. Buttons for berries on the tree branches. A bow for the sled. Red glitter for the bling. I used snowdrops (sierra pacific crafts) for the snowballs on the ground.
The challenge this month was to use a provided photo as inspiration. I chose to use the color scheme of the photo for my inspiration. Stamps are Paper Trey Ink. The turquoise circles were one nestibility circle cut in half and embossed with a cuttlebug folder. The background paper is from Provocraft. Stickles were used on the headlights.
Caveman Day! Yes, today, August 25 celebrates this day. The dinosaur and tree are from Sweet N Sassy Stamps. The caveman is clip art. The dinosaur and grounding of the man were done with cuttlebug folders. The man has a Wobble behind him, so he moves! Did these for a friend who sends cards out each month for interesting holidays. The challenge was to take a stamp and use it in a method that it was not intended for. I used the center cutouts from the seed packets and turned it upside down to make a vase. I embossed the vase with a cuttlebug folder and highlighted with yellow ink. All stamps Paper Trey Ink.
This challenge was to create a faux border using a punch or die. I punched flowers out of blue and pink and then attached them to each other off center. I cut off the one side of the flower to create my border. All images are Paper Trey Ink.
The challenge was to use two greens and two blues. I die-cut the images out of the darker green and put them on the blue. I then die-cut the images on the lighter green and stamped them in the darker green and popped them up, slightly off center.
